Job summary

STAN in North York is seeking an Engineering Team Lead to guide a small, high-impact full-stack squad within our expanding 11-person engineering team. You will write code alongside 2–3 engineers while steering sprints, architecture decisions, and hiring.

You will report to the Director of Engineering, collaborate with product and design, and help drive AI adoption across our workflows in a hands-on leadership role.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a full-stack team
• Strong architecture and code quality experience
• Hiring and mentoring engineers in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Own technical direction for your squad: architecture decisions, code quality standards, engineering best practices
• Drive full-stack feature development in Node.js/TypeScript across web and API layers
• Lead sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives to keep the team focused
• Mentor and grow a team of 2–3 full-stack engineers
• Participate in hiring, interviewing, and closing strong engineering talent
• Foster psychological safety, ownership, and continuous improvement
