Reporting to the Director of Engineering and Research and Development, the Engineering & Systems Technician is responsible for maintaining and advancing the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of AMBICO’s engineering, design and documentation. The role focuses on developing, implementing, and maintaining standardized workflows, parametric design systems, and automation solutions that support product development and production while ensuring consistency and manufacturability across all engineering outputs.
This position plays a key role in reducing errors, improving design cycle times, and optimizing engineering capacity by embedding automation, structured data practices, and continuous improvement into daily operations. The incumbent is accountable for the integrity and performance of the engineering drawing and model library and collaborates cross‑functionally with internal teams to deliver high‑quality, repeatable outputs and scalable solutions that enhance overall operational effectiveness.
Education:
Post‑secondary education in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or a related field.
AND
Combination of technical drafting/design education with programming or automation training is strongly preferred.
