We are seeking an Engineering Student for our Toronto District to work from Sudbury ON, within our Canadian Buildings Division. Positions are available for 4 months or 8 months starting September 2025.

As an Engineering Student, depending on your assigned project, you will contribute to our team by:

Responsibilities

1. Project Coordination

• Coordinating drawings
• Coordinating work-specific scope/trades
• Conducting trade quote reviews – verifying material quantities, hours, and rates
• Participating in project meetings
• Conducting deficiency walks
• Inputting/updating deficiency logs
• Issuing warranties
• Taking and coordinating progress photos
• Updating field drawings
• Producing as-built drawings

1. Field Coordination

• Performing quantity takeoffs
• Coordinating sub-trade work
• Verifying site conditions and coordinating with drawings
• Supervising sub-trade work
• Setting up and maintaining records
• Layout site lines and grades using total station

1. Scheduling

• Updating project schedules
• Creating manual schedules
• Creating and updating schedules using Primavera P6 EPPM software
• Obtaining scheduling information from sub-trades
• Creating and maintaining graphical schedules using AutoCAD
• Monitoring workforce productivity

Qualifications

• Candidates should have a strong desire to work in a construction environment; prior field experience is an asset.
• Proficiency in computer software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and drafting is required.
