Job Summary (Paragraph)

As an Engineering Specialist III, PLM, at EOS, the candidate will report to the Head of Structures and Design Integration, managing key activities within product development. The selected candidate will have a central role in establishing and optimizing engineering processes, IT architecture, and data governance across disciplines. The candidate will ensure efficient integration of engineering tools (CAD, PLM, simulation) and maintain strong data governance. Additionally, the specialist will oversee software license acquisition in collaboration with the supply chain team.

Key Responsibilities

  • PLM Implementation & Support: Led the deployment of the selected PLM tool at EOS, including architecture setup and process integration tailored to EOS’s PLM strategy.
  • Process Optimization: Develop and implement efficient digital engineering workflows, reducing manual effort through automation and tool integration.
  • IT Architecture Management: Design the PLM system architecture, ensuring optimal performance and scalability across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Tool Integration & Automation: Collaborate with engineering teams to develop custom tools and scripts, automating key functions and enhancing tool interoperability.
  • User Training & Support: Deliver comprehensive training and daily support to users, ensuring smooth adoption and effective use of the platform.
  • Vendor Coordination: Act as the primary liaison with the PLM selected solution and local resellers for updates, troubleshooting, and ongoing support.
  • Data Governance: Contribute to the creation and enforcement of data governance policies, including data security, export control, and compliance.
  • Software License Management: Support the acquisition and management of engineering software licenses in collaboration with the supply chain team.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a PLM role.
  • Expertise: Good knowledge of engineering processes and tools, and digital integration and ability to use programming to streamline interactions between various tools. CATIA, Enovia, TeamCenter and 3DExperience all relevant experiences.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address technical challenges.
  • Communication: Good communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging stakeholders in following agreed processes and ready to provide training to other team members.
  • Education:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Previous experience with cloud services.
  • Understanding of roles & responsibilities, tasks, policies, and procedures required to manage various engineering activities.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to work successfully in a cross-functional environment that prioritizes the success of the overall program and company goals.
  • Understanding of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and associated markings.
