Role Overview

The role involves responsibility for an asset class, providing technical support to the Rapid Transit Engineering & Asset Management (EAM) discipline. Key duties include verifying compliance with technical requirements, overseeing technical work, conducting field inspections, and developing strategies for asset remediation and preventative work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee technical standards, RAMS requirements, and compliance assurance for the asset class.
  • Support safety case reviews, design submittals, and ensure adherence to standards and codes.
  • Manage contracts, oversee project execution, and support procurement activities.
  • Lead process improvements, stakeholder engagement, and technical documentation updates.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and perform day-to-day engineering tasks, including project management from inception to completion.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in railway systems engineering or related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; PEng or C.E.T. certification is an asset.
  • Proficiency in project management, vendor management, risk management, and industry standards.
Working Conditions & Other Details

Standard 36.25-hour work week, with occasional nights and weekends for site visits and meetings. The role is full-time within the Engineering and IT sector, based in Toronto, Ontario.
