Role: Engineering Scheduler (TS) - Intermediate or Senior

Contract Duration: 09/08/2025 - 12/31/2025

Work Location: Saskatoon, SK

Work Schedule: 40 hours a week, Monday - Friday

Description

Experience: 4-9 years (intermediate), 10+ years (senior)

Role Description / Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide project planning and scheduling support for the engineering team, focusing on their tasks and deliverables. Support input into the overall project schedule.
  2. Understand engineering disciplines, their sequences, and deliverables.
  3. Knowledge of work breakdown structure (WBS), critical path method (CPM) scheduling, earned value analysis, logic, and baseline management.
  4. Familiarity with engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) to plan and schedule projects from start to finish.
  5. Update, review, and analyze schedule progress regularly, providing feedback to the Project Engineer for project forecasting. Incorporate change orders and update project baselines as needed.
  6. Participate in project meetings, providing feedback and insights.
  7. Prepare schedule inputs for engineering team submissions for project funding approval.
  8. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and requirements.
  9. Collaborate with the Engineering Manager and team on schedule improvements and future planning.
  10. Assist in training team members on schedule requirements, processes, and tools like Cameco schedule standards.
  11. Require regular in-person attendance at the Saskatoon office, with potential for some remote work (e.g., Monday to Thursday in office, Friday at home). Do not apply if this cannot be met.
Skills / Previous Experience
  1. 5+ years of advanced proficiency in MS Project.
  2. 5+ years of experience in Project Controls, Project Management, or Engineering. A P.Eng. designation is preferred due to the need to understand engineering design interactions.
  3. Experience with other scheduling tools like JIRA or Wrike is desirable but not required.
  4. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  5. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and pay close attention to detail.
