UL Solutions in Toronto is seeking a Building Science Engineering Project Handler to support testing of building envelope products in lab conditions. You will analyze test data and assist in validating performance under wind, temperature, and environmental stress.

You will set up tests, conduct measurements, evaluate results, and help develop test methods and client reports. The role emphasizes independent judgement under supervision and timely completion of engineering projects.

To collaborate with our building envelope expertise team in evaluating products and systems performance in the lab conditions. As aBuilding Science Engineering Project Handleryour primary duties, will be toperforms a variety of test set-up, test construction, and conduct tests within areas of responsibility where knowledge of the underlying mechanical and structural engineering fundamentals is required. These may include tests and set-ups without published requirements, or those involving unique features that require the use of independent judgement. Execute test plan and evaluate test results based on test procedure or as directed by the supervisor or senior engineering team. Assists in the development of test methods, and test equipment. Provides feedback regarding tests, data sheets and reports. Under general supervision, manages execution and timely completion of engineering projects by analyzing project scope and determining project specifications. Establishing test programs for product investigations, analyzing test programs for adequacy and sequence. Examining samples for compliance with standard requirements and preparing reports for clients. Responsible for opening, maintenance, completion, and closing of assigned new work engineering projects. May exercise responsibility for initial review, status review, and final technical review of all new work engineering projects.
