Engineering Operations Manager (Agile, POD)
As an Engineering Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing and reporting on our POD-based engineering teams. You will lead one or more agile teams to plan, deliver, and support service features that create customer value and enhance service capabilities.
You will work closely with the Operations Director and other senior executives to monitor project delivery, evaluate POD performance, and identify opportunities for improvement. Collaboration with the HR team will be essential for leading performance reviews alongside Team Leads and the CTO, as well as supporting recruitment efforts.

ABOUT THE JOB
Technical & Delivery Management
- Plan and structure engineering teams using the POD model, ensuring each POD has the right skills to deliver product features independently.
- Oversee engineering metrics, technical delivery roadmaps, and compliance with PAVE’s risk and quality frameworks.
- Report regularly to the Ops Director, CTO, and senior leadership.
- Convert product systems and processes into well-structured technical documentation.
Team Structuring & Talent Acquisition
- Design team configurations (PODs) based on product and business needs.
- Collaborate with HR to define hiring requirements, participate in technical interviews, and onboard new team members.
- Build succession plans and define career paths for engineering roles.
- Conduct 1:1s, probation reviews, and career development plans.
- Coach engineers to develop T-shaped capabilities and foster ownership beyond core skills.
- Promote a learning culture with realistic and ambitious objectives.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product, Design, and HR teams to align on business goals and resource planning.
- Advocate for Agile and DevOps best practices and drive continuous improvement.
Your skills and experience
Must have:
- 4+ years working with engineering teams; 3+ years leading Agile or POD teams.
- Experience in large-scale Agile delivery and DevOps practices.
- Deep understanding of SDLC methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall).
- Hands-on experience in converting systems/processes into technical documentation.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and cross-team collaboration skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and resource optimization skills.
- Experience managing code and change management processes.
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
