Job summary

Mastercard seeks a Manager, Software Engineering to guide the evolution of Sanctions Screening solutions. This hybrid role blends technical leadership (70%) with people management (30%), with emphasis on architecture, delivery, and team growth.

You will mentor a team of engineers, drive AI-assisted and agentic engineering initiatives, ensure secure, scalable systems, and collaborate with Product, Architecture, Compliance and Operations to deliver business-critical capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience leading software engineering teams and delivering large-scale enterprise software solutions.
• Experience with Agile software development and modern engineering practices.
• Experience in payments, financial services, compliance, sanctions screening or risk management beneficial.
• Bachelor’s in computer science, engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of software engineers.
• Own the technical direction, architecture and delivery strategy for the Sanctions Service platform.
• Drive modernization for scalability, cloud readiness and operational efficiency.
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
