Stripe, Inc. is seeking an experienced engineering leader to guide and scale a high-performing team responsible for core billing and orchestration platforms.

You will drive end-to-end delivery, partner with product and design, and mentor engineers to deliver reliable, scalable solutions. You will navigate ambiguity, set technical direction, and recruit top talent while fostering a culture of open feedback and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing and growing teams of engineers.
• Proven track record managing a team of 5+ software engineers focused on building and shipping products at scale.
• Strong problem-solving skills with history of tackling complex challenges.
• Experience thriving in cross-functional environments with rigorous thinking and decision-making.
• Experience dealing with ambiguity and executing on multiple high-impact work streams.
• Commitment to fostering a supportive, feedback-driven, challenging work environment.
• Technical proficiency to engage with engineers about architecture and product design.

Responsibilities

• Leading engineering and design processes, coaching, mentoring, and supporting your team as they build innovative solutions.
• Collaborating with stakeholders across product, design, infrastructure, and operations to ensure alignment on projects and objectives.
• Owning problems from end-to-end by managing diverse systems, processes, and technologies, while seeking opportunities to optimize efficiency and user experience.
• Upholding high engineering standards, ensuring consistency across codebases, and implementing best practices throughout your team.
• Recruiting top engineering talent in partnership with Stripe’s recruiting team to build a diverse and high-performing team.
• Supporting your team members' career growth by providing insights and development opportunities tailored to their goals.
