The Tenant Protection Team

Auth0 offers an easy-to-implement authentication and authorization platform designed by developers for developers. We secure over 100 million daily logins worldwide, focusing on providing tenant-level protections such as bot detection, brute-force attack prevention, suspicious IP throttling, and more. This team serves as the first line of defense for Auth0 customers.

The Engineering Manager Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Engineering for Identity Security, this remote-first role is vital for our attack protection features. You will collaborate with teams across AI, Platform and Infrastructure, Product Management, and Security Architecture to deliver essential attack protections rapidly. You will influence our product roadmap and stay ahead of emerging threats in the identity security sector.

What you’ll be doing

1. Partner with product management, architects, tech leads, and dependent teams to define and refine a comprehensive product roadmap.
2. Ensure high-quality feature development that can operate at the scale required by our customers, with support from our delivery and enablement teams.
3. Provide regular feedback, technical guidance, and mentorship to your team members.
4. Foster a collaborative, engaging, and inclusive team environment.
5. Maintain and enhance our culture by sourcing and hiring qualified individuals, emphasizing diversity and inclusion.

What you’ll bring to the role

• At least 3 years of leadership and management experience.
• Effective collaboration with distributed teams and diverse backgrounds.
• Experience working with product and program managers to align on objectives, priorities, trade-offs, and risks.
• Experience with Agile methodologies such as SCRUM or Kanban.

Additional preferred experience

• Partnership experience with Machine Learning or AI teams.
• Knowledge of cloud services like AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Experience with Kubernetes, especially on AWS and Azure Kubernetes services.
• Excellent communication skills across all levels of customer support and professional services.
