About the team

Kinaxis is on the lookout for an experienced and talented Engineering Manager of AI/ML who possesses a strong passion for AI technology and the ability to transform it into user-friendly software products, to spearhead one of our innovative research and development groups. In the role of Engineering Manager for an AI Product R&D team, you will work closely with senior Engineering leaders to navigate the strategic expansion of our AI solutions and influence both architectural and product trajectories.

Positioned at the forefront of artificial intelligence evolution, you will guide developers that have a tangible effect on our enterprise-level AI software platform and solutions, utilized globally by numerous clients to optimize their supply chain.

What you will do
  • Provide leadership, coaching, guidance, and development to an engineering team that is dedicated to creating foundational AI/ML product solutions that will be used across our entire product suite and be accessible to all customers.
  • Guide your team in adhering to both product management and technology roadmaps, collaborating with product management to establish and follow through on the strategic direction for your teams.
  • Utilize your expertise in developing and sustaining highly scalable, secure, reliable, distributed AI systems and managing AI R&D squads to drive teams towards consistent delivery of high-caliber software.
  • Partner with senior leaders to shape the future direction of AI Solutions Product Engineering.
  • Present on both internal and external platforms about AI Solutions to diverse audiences including clients, prospects, sales engineers, and tech collaborators.
What we are looking for
  • BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent related discipline.
  • 5-7 years of progressive AI/ML experience, including strategic leadership, high tech, global company preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams and delivering enterprise data/software products at scale.
  • Advanced knowledge in scalable data engineering, software engineering, and ML Ops.
  • Experience with architectural designs, technology exploration, and innovation management.
  • Deep expertise in DataOps, MLOps, modern data architecture, cloud-based data, Cloud-Native ML tech stacks, and advancements.
  • Highly adaptable and able to pivot based on prioritization and needs of the business; proactively solicits and delivers feedback to ensure alignment.
  • Skilled collaborator with a customer-oriented, tech savvy leadership approach.
  • Experience building large-scale data platforms in a data-heavy B2B environment.
  • Agile and resilient in managing multiple leads and team members under tight timelines.
  • An articulate and skilled communicator with the ability to provide clear, concise messaging (verbal and written) to multiple audiences and platforms and present information in a way that engages audiences of all levels.
