Job summary

Cohere is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our Deployment Engineering team in North America. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on technical excellence and delivering agentic AI integrations at scale for enterprise customers.

You will mentor Forward Deployed Engineers, own customer success from implementation to delivery, collaborate with product, engineering and sales, and help evolve processes across multiple client environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience managing software engineering teams.
• Experience managing engineers in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying enterprise software at scale, with focus on agentic applications.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with ability to translate technical concepts for both technical and business audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Forward Deployed Engineers focused on building agentic solutions with North in on-premises environments.
• Take ownership of customer success from technical implementation through delivery.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Sales to shape how we deliver AI to enterprises.
• Build relationships with technical stakeholders on the customer end.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, focusing on bringing agentic solutions to every step of the development process.
• Define and implement processes that scale agent development and deployment across multiple client environments.
