Overview

Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team of developers building scalable, customer-centric digital experiences. You’ll be responsible for guiding a team of at least 8 developers, driving technical excellence, and contributing to backend and frontend architecture — all while keeping your hands in the code about 10% of the time.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and mentor a team of 8+ developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive delivery of high-quality software solutions using modern technologies and cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and other engineering teams to define and execute on technical roadmaps.
  • Contribute to backend and frontend development, ensuring scalable and maintainable codebases.
  • Participate in architectural decisions and code reviews, and help shape engineering best practices.

Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience in engineering management (more is a plus).
  • Proven track record managing teams of at least 8 developers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on coding experience (10% of your time will be spent coding).
  • Expertise in:
    • Next.js and Node.js (must-have)
    • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (must-have)
    • Java (nice-to-have)
  • Solid understanding of API development and consumption, with backend proficiency in Node.js or Java.
  • Passion for building scalable systems and mentoring engineers.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with React and modern frontend frameworks.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Previous experience in e-commerce or digital retail environments.
