OVERVIEW

We are looking for an Engineering Manager leading a team of multi-disciplined engineers, responsible for providing identity-based targeting and insights for our clients, tapping into the best of Captify’s proprietary data and analysis. Search on its own is a highly complex data set. Captify’s technologies have been built to extract maximum value from the search for brands, partners and businesses all over the world and also to innovate & improve the consumer experience.

Captify’s world-class engineers, semantic specialists and product teams are building the future of Search and as part of our Engineering Team, you will play a key part in developing our offering.

We work in small cross-functional pods of developers who focus on a particular product area and we encourage people to rotate across teams.

ABOUT YOU

You will be a dedicated and passionate manager who can lead disparate teams across multiple locations with a thorough understanding of Data Science and Software Engineering as applied to the Advertising technology ecosystem. Captify has a growing product offering and you will be leading one of these innovations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

What you’ll be doing:

• You will help architect and build innovative products to enhance and extend search data
• You will develop and improve existing solutions
• You will lead a team of ML Specialists and Ad Tech-focused Software Engineers
• You will experiment with new tools and technologies to produce cutting-edge solutions to business problems
• You will lead a self-organising, results-oriented distributed agile team

REQUIREMENTS

What you need to be successful:

• Have experience managing remote teams
• Have experience with Machine Learning / Data Science
• Have previous experience with git, CI and CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, TeamCity)
• Know about docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services
• Have experience with Scala or Python programming languages
• Experience with spark and flink is advantageous
• Proactive self-starter who takes ownership, is comfortable with ambiguity and is able to drive the project and mentor team members
• Passionate about writing good code
• Ability to travel to our London office for regular team meetings, brainstorms and social events
• You must be based in either UK, Greece, Poland and Hungary
