Job summary

Norstar Industries Ltd in Morris, MB, is seeking an experienced Design Engineering Manager to lead our drafting and design team and deliver high-quality engineering support for our manufacturing operations.

You will develop people, improve processes, and drive designs from concept through production, with responsibilities across coordination with Design, Sales, Production, and Leadership, and ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading or supervising a design or drafting team.
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor and 3D CAD software.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Mechanical Technology education is considered an asset.
  • Experience with grain handling equipment is a strong asset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

We're looking for an experienced Design Engineering Manager to lead our drafting and design team while driving high-quality engineering support for our growing manufacturing operation.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and supervise the drafting and design team
