Job summary

Wexxar Packaging, a proud member of the ProMach family, in Richmond, BC, seeks a Director of Engineering to lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for our product lines. You will align engineering strategy with business goals and drive Lean improvements while fostering cross-functional collaboration with Product Management, Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, and Service.

You will mentor managers, oversee projects, and champion regulatory compliance and best practices to deliver outstanding

Qualifications

• 10+ years in progressive engineering roles
• 5+ years leading cross‑functional engineering teams in a manufacturing/industrial environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; MBA is a plus
• Lean Manufacturing expertise and continuous improvement focus
• Strong communication, leadership, and strategic thinking

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and operational direction to a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
• Align engineering strategies with business objectives and cross-functional needs.
• Oversee project planning, resource management, timelines, and deliverables to ensure on-time, within-budget execution.
• Lead Lean initiatives to drive efficiency, cost optimization, and product quality.
• Mentor engineering managers and develop organizational capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and engineering best practices.
