Perform hardware design activities including electronic design, schematic capture, PCB layout, BOM creation, and PCB manufacturing package generation.
Perform circuit level design and testing for both analog and digital circuitry (filter design, signal conditioning, optical/capacitive isolation, SMPS, current sensing, communication interfaces, microcontrollers, etc.).
Experience with different communication protocols and physical layers (SPI, I2C, UART, etc.).
Design test stations for product debug and verification.
Select components (chips, passive & active components, power components, etc.).
Plan and perform board bring-up and testing for PCBA.
Prepare PCBA manufacturing package and support manufacturer.
Maintain documentation and prepare test plans.
Support the software development team on hardware-related tasks.
Conduct and document investigations of hardware anomalies and failures.
Stay up to date with the most recent technological advancements in electronics to apply to future product developments.
Document the design, functionality, and tests related to product development.
Adhere to health and safety rules (personal and equipment).
Ensure to meet scheduled deadlines and report risks, problems, and delays to the supervisor.
