Company Overview:Multimatic Niche Vehicles North America (MNVNA) is the exclusive production facility of the Ford Mustang GTD. Previous assembly programs have been Ford GT, GT Mk II, GT Mk IV supercars and the Ford Bronco DR racing truck.Position Overview:This position is for the Fall Co-op Term, starting September 2026. The Engineering Co-Op Student will be a part of a core team working on the Bill of Materials, design data management, technical problem solving, assembly issue resolution, project management, launch, execution, and production of exclusive vehicles. Reporting to the Engineering Manager or a member of the Engineering Team, you will perform a variety of tasks to support production, quality, purchasing and logistics by assisting in planning, organizing, and problem-solving production processes as well as maintaining manufacturing documentation.Duties and Responsibilities:Maintain confidentiality of upcoming projects while engaging in advanced activitiesWork in a safe manner, following safety procedures and general practices common to an automotive assembly environmentAssist in the launch of new vehicles and new vehicle editionsOrganize and maintain production materials, processes, and documentationMaintain, validate, and approve work instructions and programming of work stationsManage the custom paint colour and sample package delivery processSupport design engineers from multiple divisions, both remotely and on-siteAct as a liaison for cross-functional teams to execute programs and resolve issuesAssist in the management of the Bill of Materials and assembly sequenceSupport the change management process, including line trials and final validation of new partsPerform analysis of dimensional or other data in support of investigations or studiesDrive engineering improvements by identifying opportunities and implementing robust solutionsSupport activities relating to the implementation or modification of equipment and processesParticipate in Multimatic’s continuous improvement programSupport report outs and meetings with Management and various other teams/departmentsConsult with the Engineering team on the resolution of issues as they arisePerform other duties as requiredFollow APQP, ISO 9001, TS16949 and ISO26262 requirementsEducation and Experience:Must be currently enrolled in an Engineering programAbility to navigate CAD files through viewers to extract information and imagesProficient understanding of Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Excel and OutlookMust be a team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills; be able to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic, and high visibility environmentSelf-motivated individual with the ability to work with minimal supervision while driving timing and meeting tight deadlinesResults driven, enthusiastic and energetic with the ability to flex and adapt to changing situationsAble to organize information/data in a manner that can be easily communicated and understoodAble to organize their own activities as well as coordinate activities of others to complete assignmentsFamiliarity with low and niche volume assembly methods is an assetExperience in a Manufacturing environment and general automobile knowledge is an assetThis job posting is for an existing vacancy.
