Position Overview

This internship offers opportunities to engage with engineers, managers, and other departments within the organization, providing insight into the operations within the engineering and operational groups at FortisBC.

In this role, you will:

  • Perform site visits with the Distribution Design Group
  • Collaborate with the Design Group to document typical work tasks and update training materials
  • Work with the Design Group, Regulatory, and Operations teams to implement and update process documentation
  • Liaise with other utilities to develop strategic departmental changes
  • Provide technical support to the Distribution Design & Operations groups
  • Update Distribution Design Tools and configurations using MS Excel and scripting methods
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements:

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering program focused on Electrical Engineering, in third or fourth year
  • Enrolled in a co-op program
  • Valid driver’s license and current driving abstract

Additional Information

This is a full-time, temporary co-op position for an 8-month term starting September 2025.
