Engineering Analyst, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) - 12 Month Limited Term

The Engineering Analyst, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) creates all required analysis in support of the Logistic Support Analysis function. This individual is responsible to provide the ILS Project Manager with products related to the development of Logistic Support Analysis. The Engineering Analyst performs the functions by partaking and guiding the design process of the products relevant to maintainability, reliability, testability and optimize life cycle costs through the definition of required resources to support the product during in-service operation.

Note: This position qualifies for an optional hybrid work schedule after 90 days of onsite work and onboarding. Employee will be subject to the terms of the Flexible Work Policy Agreement. This is a 12 Month Limited term employment with eligible benefits and 3 weeks’ vacation.

What you'll do

• Perform Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) analyses, including but not limited to FMEA, reliability analysis, LORA, maintenance task analysis, sparing analysis, life cycle cost analysis, etc.
• Collaborate with and support design engineering with the results of the RAM analysis.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain to make sure suppliers meet the required ILS requirements.
• Validate supplier’s data for adequacy and accuracy.
• Use engineering judgement to draw conclusions and make decisions.
• Apply relevant regulations, industry and discipline standards.
• Write technical reports.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

What you'll bring

• An Engineering degree, or equivalent experience.
• Background in marine systems and equipment is desirable.
• Prior experience in ILS or Systems Engineering.
• Intellectual curiosity, seeking opportunities to develop new skills.
• Strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative.
• System thinking.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with industry standards for analysis, such as FMEA, etc.
• Data management.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

The estimated salary for this position is $77,500 - $93,000. In determining final salary, Seaspan considers many factors including the successful Candidate’s skillset and experience as well as position location and internal equity. The final base salary offer will be at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.
