Engineer III, Falcon Host Sensor (Remote, CAN)

This role focuses on engineering the Falcon Host sensor (lightweight agent) for Windows, Linux, and macOS, within the Exposure Management product group.

Overview

CrowdStrike Falcon Host comprises a sensor and a cloud component. The sensor is installed on client machines to observe system activity, recognize malicious behavior, and provide on-box prevention and remote telemetry to the Falcon Host cloud. The cloud component aggregates telemetry across a customer network to correlate behaviors and present a prioritized threat summary to operations teams.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead engineering efforts and collaborate with Product Management to define scope where applicable
  • Demonstrate ownership, accountability and work with cross-functional teams across distributed locations
  • Design and develop user-mode software for deployment on Windows systems
  • Own features from design to delivery
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams in various locations
  • Troubleshoot product issues as reported by customers and respond promptly
  • Develop software for products as assigned (Falcon Discover, and more)
What You’ll Need
  • Ability to develop high-quality C++ code for Windows OS, demonstrated through job experience or contributions to community projects
  • Experience shipping major features and releases as part of a team
  • Effective communication and collaboration in a distributed team
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals
  • Mac and Linux OS development experience is a plus
  • Experience building cybersecurity-related products is a plus
  • Experience with high-concurrency, multi-threaded, high-reliability product code is a plus
