Responsibilities

The incumbent in this position will perform preventive and predictive maintenance. This includes troubleshooting and basic repairs in plumbing, electrical, HVAC-R, kitchen equipment and other facilities systems. The incumbent is under the direction of the Facilities Supervisor and Facilities Manager, and also responds to all General Maintenance service calls.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Adhere to all Hard Rock safety requirements and ongoing training to maintain a safe working environment for all team members and guests.
  • Responsible for overall maintenance, upkeep and repairs of facility.
  • Safely climb ladders up to 30 feet to perform routine rooftop inspections.
  • Respond to maintenance service calls in a timely manner.
  • Move furniture and equipment as directed. Support other departmental events as directed.
  • Utilize the Computer Maintenance Management System to create service requests and document work performed daily. Complete all work orders assigned according to their priority level.
  • Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels and ordering parts and materials as needed.
  • Conduct required drills and inspections; maintain technical logs and records all relevant data as appropriate.
  • Install and make repairs to doors, furniture, office partitions, flooring and other carpentry related items.
  • Prep and prepare drywall for painting. Paint and stain wall, furniture and other associated items.
  • Perform basic repairs and preventive maintenance on plumbing, electrical, HVAC-R, kitchen equipment and other operational systems.
  • Must be available for day, evening, and overnight shifts.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • Machines and equipment including but not limited to; basic hand and power tools, spray equipment, etc.
  • Safe use of hazardous materials.
  • Building Systems Maintenance and/or trade certification would be an asset.
  • Working at Heights.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)

This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of maintenance job experience.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to walk distances.
  • The employee must frequently lift/push/pull and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Working Conditions:

  • Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a highly regulated and controlled environment, but there will be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor to complete job functions as outlined or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, excessive noise.
