Engineer and Project Leader, Industrial Electrical (Relocation to Sept-Îles)

Your future role on our team: To pursue project and client development in the Sept-Îles region, BBA aims to strengthen its local multidisciplinary team. Working closely with our offices in Labrador City, Montréal, and Mont-Saint-Hilaire, this team is actively involved in developing the Sept-Îles region and executing projects in mining, metals, and energy sectors. BBA's electrical engineering teams are distinguished by their cutting-edge technical expertise and deep understanding of operating and maintaining industrial power systems.

Type of position: Regular

By joining us, you'll help industrial clients in energy and mining sectors with operations, maintenance, and growth projects. Responsibilities include site surveys, testing high- and medium-voltage electrical equipment, participating in commissioning, and supporting project stages. You will also ensure quality services and foster strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities include:

• Address safety issues during design
• Lead electrical engineering projects in Québec and Canada
• Participate in multidisciplinary projects as a senior electrical expert
• Prepare and supervise plans and specifications
• Draft technical study reports
• Manage project teams, reviews, costs, and schedules
• Transfer technical knowledge to young engineers
• Lead proposal preparations
• Conduct material take-offs and studies
• Engage in various project stages depending on engineering level

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
• At least five years’ experience in industrial and multidisciplinary projects
• Knowledge of medium- and low-voltage power distribution
• Team management experience (2-5 members)
• Technical document drafting skills
• Bilingual in English and French
• Willingness to work at client sites and offices across Canada
• Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code
• Assets: ETAP, AutoCAD, OPEX experience, site supervision, foreign codes knowledge
