Qualifications

  • 3+ years minimum experience in Inside Sales/Outside Sales.
  • 2+ years in the commercial HVAC industry or technical engineering sales.
  • An engineering degree is highly preferred.

Overview

As an Engineer and Contractor Sales, you will promote custom HVAC solutions to commercial and industrial clients, mostly dealing with engineering, architects firms and larger design-build mechanical contractors clients within the territory of Ontario. You will be responsible for managing existing accounts as well as developing new business. This position includes a base salary of $140,000-$180,000 plus uncapped commissions, a car allowance and a lot of other perks!

The Location
  • The office is located in Markham, ON
  • The sales territory is GTA and the surrounding area
  • This is an Outside Sales role with a few days a week in the office required during the training period

  • Custom HVAC solutions
  • Cooling Towers, chillers, heaters, heat pumps, ventilators
Prospective Customers
  • Engineering and Architecture Firms
  • Larger design-build mechanical contractors
Product & Sales Cycle
  • The average order value is $150K - $300K
  • The sales cycle is from 3 to 9 months
Typical Day & Duties
  • Account Management: 25% for the first year
  • New Business Development: 60% for the first year
  • Preparing Quotation, RFPs - admin related - 15%
Lead Sources
  • Warm Leads Supplied: 25%
  • List Supplied: 75%
Support & Training
  • Technical Training
  • On the Job
  • Mentorship/Shadowing
  • Off-Site Training
Preferred Experience & Background
  • 3+ years minimum experience in Inside Sales/Outside Sales
  • 2+ years in the commercial HVAC industry or technical engineering sales
  • An engineering degree is highly preferred
  • Travel to the USA for tradeshows/training might be required
Education
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering, and other related Engineering fields
