Position Overview:
As a Component Cleaner at OEM Remanufacturing, you will be responsible for efficiently cleaning and transporting incoming cores and components to ensure they are properly prepared for inspection, quotation, and assembly. You will also contribute to contamination control by maintaining cleanliness in your area.

Job Description:
  • Prepare parts correctly, including sealing orifices and applying protective measures
  • Clean components using high-pressure washers
  • Perform caustic, acid, or mart washing of various product types without damaging parts
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in Wage Grade 1 or higher (internal candidates)
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to follow work instructions
  • Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 40 pounds regularly
  • Mechanical aptitude and background preferred
  • Effective written and spoken English communication skills
  • Experience with component cleaning and high-pressure washing preferred
  • Experience in a heavy-duty equipment facility preferred
  • Ability to pass fit testing and wear a respirator
  • Commitment to working safely and adhering to company policies and procedures
Note:
  • This position is for a fixed weekend shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 12 hours per day.
  • Training may be conducted during a weekday shift (Monday - Thursday or Friday), with transition to weekend shifts upon gaining sufficient experience.
  • Future shift changes will follow the terms of the Collective Agreement.
  • Applicants must submit an updated Professional Profile on Workday or a resume.
  • Successful candidates will undergo drug and alcohol testing, a criminal background check, and a medical assessment.
  • Hourly rate ranges from $24.72 to $31.93.
