A college student association is seeking Engagement Staff: Social Media + Content Writer to support digital content efforts. This role is ideal for a current full-time student who is passionate about social media and content creation. Responsibilities include managing digital platforms, generating weekly content, and engaging with the community. Flexibility in hours and hybrid work across campuses is available.

Duration/Term Length: 1 Academic Semester
Work Hours:
Hours may fluctuate – On Average 8 – 16 Hours a Week
Shift availability may vary from time to time.
Location: Hybrid – All Campuses; Some Remote Work
Job Purpose:
The Engagement Staff – Social Media + Content Writer - Content Creator works with a team of professional staff that supports the student leadership and goals of the organization. CCSAI is looking for a student to working with the Communications & Events team to curate and share content for all CCSAI Channels.
The types of content coverage can vary from promotion/coverage of events, promotion of services, entertainment content, etc. The Social Media + Content Writer will work closely with the Communications & Events team and other Engagement Staff Team members to brainstorm and execute CCSAI written and social media content.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Support the maintenance of CCSAI digital platforms to increase visibility & engagement with social & written content.
· Outline, generate and publish weekly content that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action.
· Monitor and engage with all user-generated content across CCSAI digital platforms.
· Regularly review & update content calendars and synchronize with ongoing programming at CCSAI.
· Archive and maintain organized shared digital assets on a regular basis.
· Prepare written content to promote events, services, or engage audiences through briefs, videos and newsletters.
· Work closely with Communication & Events team to brainstorm creative ideas and different methods to promote events, services & other initiatives of the CCSAI.
· Assist the Communication & Events team in developing and executing promotional campaigns and engagements on the CCSAI digital channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Web)
· Attends meetings and/or trainings that are scheduled throughout the term
· Support the CCSAI communication & events team in other required duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Proved experience with social media or as a writer is an asset.
· In-depth knowledge of digital media trends.
· Flexible to travel to all campus location.
· Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
· Excellent verbal & written communication skills
· Ability to be professional and respectful at all times
· Experience in using of platforms such as, but not limited to, Sharepoint, MS Teams, Adobe Suite, Canva are an asset.
Eligibility
· Must be enrolled as a full-time student for the current semester
· Demonstrate a good academic standing
· Must have a valid Social Insurance Number (minimum 6 months to expiry)
· Available for up to 10 hours a week (Monday – Friday)
