Job Title: Engagement, Programming, and Communications Manager
Reports To: Executive Director
Location: Delmar DivINe, St. Louis, MO
Status: Full-Time, Exempt, In-person at Delmar DivINe

About Delmar DivINe:

Delmar DivINe is a nonprofit hub and collaborative space dedicated to transforming how St. Louis-based organizations work together to advance health, education, and opportunity across the region. Located in the reimagined former St. Luke’s Hospital, Delmar DivINe houses over 30 nonprofits and mission-aligned service providers.

Position Overview:

Delmar DivINe seeks a mission-driven, community-oriented Social Worker with strong experience in engagement, programming, and communications. This role bridges social services with strategic communications and program design to support tenants, community partners, and residents in and around the Delmar Corridor. The ideal candidate will be a relationship builder, a thoughtful collaborator, and a compelling communicator.

Key Responsibilities:

Community Building & Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with nonprofit tenants, community partners, and local neighborhood residents. Model and nurture community norms rooted in collaboration, equity, and innovation.
  • Serve as a connector between community and service providers within Delmar DivINe.
  • Organize and facilitate outreach events, resource fairs, and listening sessions to assess community needs and opportunities.
  • Conduct onboarding meetings with all new organizations and employees within tenant organizations.

Program Development & Coordination

  • Responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing services and activities that foster community and enhance the leadership and organizational capacities of its nonprofit tenants and their people in order to provide greater social impact.
  • Collaborate with tenant organizations to co-create shared initiatives and capacity-building opportunities.
  • Monitor program effectiveness, collect feedback, and report outcomes to leadership and funders.
  • Provide informal counsel, research and referral on organizational leadership, management, and sectoral issues in response to tenant requests.
  • Design and facilitate informal in-person social interactions and events among tenant employees.

Communications & Storytelling

  • Develop and share stories that highlight community impact, program success, and tenant collaboration through newsletters, social media, and reports.
  • Manage communication with program participants, ensuring inclusive, culturally competent messaging.
  • Support internal and external communications related to community programming and engagement.
  • Produce a compelling weekly newsletter internal to DD tenants that includes: building updates, events, and information relevant to the nonprofit sector regionally such as trends, funding opportunities and policy developments.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Supervise student workers and practicum students.
  • Attend staff and board meetings
  • Maintain knowledge of the St. Louis region and nonprofit landscape. Develop and maintain a library of reference works, database of capacity building resources, topics, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work preferred (or equivalent). Prior management experience preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of nonprofit experience in the St. Louis community in a social work, community engagement, or program development role.
  • Demonstrated success in communications, storytelling, or content creation for nonprofit or social impact audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with an ability to collaborate across diverse sectors with strong customer service orientation.
  • Deeply committed to Delmar DivINe’s vision and values of social justice, social and racial equity, diversity and inclusion.
  • Prior event, project management, marketing & promotion experience desired.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work. In-person full-time at the Delmar DivINe.
