Job summary

NexGen Energy Ltd. in Saskatoon seeks a Manager, Engagement to lead Indigenous and community engagement for a 20-month parental leave coverage.

You will direct planning, delivery, and documentation of engagement programs and build strong relationships with Indigenous Nations, communities, and stakeholders, aligning engagement with project and ESG objectives. Lead regulatory engagement and risk management, while supporting the integration of commitments across project teams.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Indigenous relations, community development, communications, social sciences, environmental studies, or business.
• Progressive experience in Indigenous relations, community engagement, stakeholder relations or regulatory engagement.
• Experience leading and developing teams and delivering results.
• Strong relationships with Indigenous Nations, communities and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of engagement principles, protocols and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead Indigenous, community, public, and regulatory engagement strategy.
• Translate commitments into actionable plans and priorities.
• Represent the organization at community, stakeholder, and regulatory events.
• Oversee committees; ensure commitments and actions are delivered.
• Monitor regulatory requirements, engagement trends and best practices.
• Oversee planning and delivery of engagement programs and events.
• Ensure documentation and follow-up actions are tracked.
• Manage engagement budgeting and reporting.
