Overview

The Engagement Analyst (EA) role supports local office and business leadership in achieving key metrics. EAs focus on engagement management through detailed analysis, reporting, and processing complex transactions using IBS (SAP), ensuring leadership has accurate financial information to evaluate business performance.

What You Will Do
  1. Process engagement management transactions within IBS, including engagement code closeouts, ERP adjustments, gain/loss realization, bill allocations, and A/R write-offs.
  2. Conduct regular and ad hoc reporting and analysis for client accounts, such as monthly chargeable hours and billings.
  3. Review daily reporting to ensure compliance with local policies regarding ERPs, large closeouts, unbilled WIP, and report findings to Partners and Managers.
  4. Prepare billing summaries for Audit Independence letters.
  5. Review engagement code setups for correct coding (e.g., BA, profit centre, partner).
  6. Assist Business Unit Leaders and Partners with WIP and A/R valuations.
  7. Follow up on 'on account' payments and allocate payments accordingly.
  8. Handle refunds to clients for duplicate payments, etc.
  9. Coordinate with internal teams to resolve IBS-related engagement setup and delivery issues.
  10. Serve as a reference for Partners and billing staff regarding IBS, HANA Reports, and financial tools.
  11. Maintain VersaPay, including updates and client communications.
  12. Identify opportunities for process improvements to better serve stakeholders.
  13. Perform any additional responsibilities as assigned.
What You Bring To The Role
  1. Strong accounting knowledge.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in billing or finance.
  3. Experience at a professional services firm is an asset.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  5. Technologically savvy with quick learning ability for new software.
  6. Knowledge of IBS is an asset.
  7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  8. Flexibility, adaptability, and strong interpersonal and client service skills.
