Job summary

Indigo Park Canada is seeking an Enforcement Officer at the VIA Rail Station in Belleville, ON. This flexible part-time role involves daily enforcement time and delivering courteous customer service to the public.

You will patrol the area by vehicle, issue warnings, identify parking violations, arrange for towing when needed, and maintain records while providing clear information about parking rules.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Patrol an assigned area by vehicle.
  • Issue warnings and quotes for illegally parked vehicles using the LPR system.
  • Identify vehicles in violation of parking codes.
  • Arrange towing for illegally parked/abandoned vehicles and direct tow-truck drivers.
  • Observe and report hazardous conditions in the lot.
  • Prepare and maintain enforcement records and quotations.
  • Maintain equipment and provide information about regulations to the public.
  • Inform the public about policies and services.
  • Identify stolen or counterfeit permits and report as needed.
  • Perform duties as assigned by the manager.

Job description

Join Park Indigo Canada as an Enforcement Officer and help ensure parking regulations are upheld while delivering exceptional customer service. This flexible part-time position involves conducting one hour of enforcement per day, five days per week (5 hours weekly) at the VIA Rail Station, 250 Station St, Belleville, ON. Responsibilities
  • Patrol an assigned area by vehicle
  • Issue warnings and quotes for illegally parked vehicles (using LPR vehicle system)
  • Identify vehicles in violation of parking codes
  • Make arrangements for illegally parked or abandoned vehicles to be towed, and direct tow-truck drivers to the correct vehicles
  • Observe and report hazardous conditions such as replacement of unsafe signage within lot, etc.
  • Prepare and maintain required records, records of parking enforcement, operational records and records of quoted quotations
  • Maintain assigned equipment and supplies such as hand-held computers, quote book, etc.
  • Provide information to the public regarding parking regulations and facilities
  • Inform the public about policies, services or procedures
  • Identify stolen, and counterfeit parking permits
  • Duties as assigned by manager
Qualifications
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Cautious and courteous driver, with a valid full provincial drivers license and a clean driving record
  • Confidence in problem solving and ability to manage stressful situations
  • Ability to clearly and accurately communicate both written and verbally
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of handheld computer, personal computer (Windows XP/Mobile) and mobile phone features
