The End-User IT Infrastructure and Desktop Support Specialist is pivotal in maintaining the seamless operation of IT infrastructure, equipment, and software at HFC. Serving as the primary and only IT contact on site, this specialist provides technical support, manages vendor relationships, contributes to IT projects, ensures the secure operation of all IT systems, is a superuser for the EMR systems, and supports the implementation of HFC’s hardware and software systems.

Job Duties :

• Technical Support & Troubleshooting : As the main point of contact, the specialist is to diagnose and resolve technical issues, including troubleshooting the EMR system. The Specialist is to coordinate and work closely with our IT and system vendors for technical solutions on an as-needed basis.
• Infrastructure & Project Support : Assist in the setup, implementation, and management of IT infrastructure projects, including software and hardware integrations. Develop and conduct training sessions and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Communication & Coordination : Act as the liaison for IT-related matters between staff, management, and vendors. This includes setting up new accounts, troubleshooting challenges with the software used on-site, and conducting training as needed.
• Policy & Procedure Support : Assist in the development and implementation of policies specific to IT.Maintain the IT SOP and all documents needed in the running of the IT department. Maintenance of standardized reports.
• Security Management : Oversee the security of IT systems, ensuring compliance with data protection policies and implementing disaster recovery plans. Assist in security audits to identify vulnerabilities. Maintain phishing and security reports for quarterly reviews.
• Vendor Management : Strategically manage relationships with various IT vendors and ensure service levels meet organizational needs.
• Quality Management : Assist with various infrastructure implementations and projects as assigned. Learn clinical workflows to support and reinforce established policies and procedures. Assist in the implementation of new clinical workflows, including developing training materials and conducting training sessions. Conduct regular quality assurance audits of electronic records and generate related reports and documentation as needed. Support continuous quality improvement initiatives and assist with risk or quality audits as required.

Education & Qualifications :

• Experience in healthcare is an asset.
• A minimum of 3 years of related experience
• Post-secondary education in IT, Networking, Systems, or a related field.

Skills :

• As a department of one, with the help and support of an IT management company, you must be comfortable working troubleshooting alone.
• Advanced prioritization, multitasking, and troubleshooting skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Capability to work independently and collaborate effectively with IT vendors.
• Proficiency in IT security practices

Technical Proficiency :

• Demonstrated expertise in the support of software and systems : examples include Accuro, Ocean, Orchid, Zoom, Microsoft, SharePoint, Exchange, Active Directory, Formstack, SQL, Azure, and various printer systems.

The Centre :

• General office conditions
• Must be able to work safely in a typical computerized office environment
• Seven day a week operation : 7 am - 3 pm
