ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Provides basic life support, including patient assessment, airway management, and use of the automatic defibrillator.
- Drives ambulances, transporting patients to and from various medical facilities and/or homes in non-emergency and emergency situations.
- Provides oxygen therapy to patients.
- Lifts stretcher and secures patients for transport.
- Communicates with patients, caregivers, and family members in a compassionate manner.
- Communicates with medical facility staff regarding patients.
- Regularly communicates with dispatcher regarding transportation status and provides critical information.
- Documents transportation activities, ensuring accurate information is recorded.
- Maintains clean and orderly vehicles and supplies in the ambulance.
- Cleans and disinfects equipment between patients.
Job Requirements:
- EMT Certification Required
- Must have a BLS CPR certification for health care providers (On Time can provide).
- Driver’s License in good standing (if hired as a driver).
- Must meet LogistiCare approval as a condition of employment.
- Lift requirements of 150 lbs.
