Alberta Health Services’ Emergency Health Services—EHS-AB seeks a Vehicle Equipment Supplies Service Technician (VESST) to support EMS operations by maintaining ambulances, medical equipment, and supplies. You will coordinate vehicle movements, inspect equipment, and ensure readiness for service across Alberta.

The role includes occasional direct patient contact, disaster response, and extensive travel. Requires ACOP registration, BCLS, Class 4 licence with a clean driving history, and F.A.R.E.

Qualifications

• Non-restricted registration in good standing with the Alberta College of Paramedics (ACOP).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Class 4 Alberta Operator's Licence or equivalent with a 5-year driving abstract (dated within 6 months).
• F.A.R.E. test completed within six months if not currently in a clinical EHS Alberta role.

Responsabilités

• Assist with daily fleet maintenance and coordinate vehicle movements to/from vendors.
• Ensure spare vehicles are clean, fully equipped, and stocked per inventory standards.
• Inspect and repair equipment (e.g., power cots, power loads, suction units).
• Travel across Alberta, assist with patient care when needed, and respond to disasters or large-scale incidents.
