A leading community development organization is seeking an Employment Outcomes Specialist to assist clients in securing meaningful employment. This hybrid role combines remote and in-office work, focusing on client support and performance metrics to drive success and ensure compliance with documentation requirements. The ideal candidate will have a background in business or human services, with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to social impact.
FOCUS is seeking a mission-driven Employment Outcomes Specialist to support individuals in achieving and sustaining meaningful employment. This role is essential in helping clients transition into the workforce and verifying employment through documentation. The ideal candidate is passionate about social impact, has experience in employment services, and is motivated by measurable outcomes. This is a new position, and as such, the key responsibilities may evolve to meet the Performance Metrics.
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote/virtual and in-office work. The balance between remote and on-site hours will vary based on program requirements, team collaboration, and operational needs. The role requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week and may include evening and weekend shifts as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Employment Support
- Assist clients in securing employment of at least 20 hours per week. - Assist all Employment Consultants at Alliston, Angus and Wasaga Beach with their client caseloads and moving clients to an employed outcome. - Monitor client progress and provide post-employment support to promote job retention.
-Develop a script or procedure for ensuring we can gather the necessary documentation for employment verification, and develop frequently asked questions and effective responses for staff use and support
-Work with Employment Consultants to identify which clients they will follow up with and which ones the Employment Outcomes Specialist will be the primary contact for, ensuring all follow-ups are completed.
-Collect and document employment verification through pay stubs, employer attestations, or other approved methods.
-Contact clients using phone, email, text message, and any other emerging communication technologies - Ensure all documentation meets funder and compliance requirements.
-Troubleshoot PBF rejections and maintain a knowledge base of frequently used reasons for PBF rejections and how to resolve them on the FOCUS SharePoint site - Maintain accurate and confidential records in the ES client management system.
-Develop incentive plans and methods to ensure clients provide the necessary documentation
Employer & Community Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with local employers and community partners. - Coordinate with employers to obtain employment confirmations.
Data & Reporting
-Maintain the checkpoint tracking system for internal use and program management
-Ensure follow-up in a timely manner to maintain service standards
-Gather the necessary documentation to verify the checkpoint and upload it to ES Cases
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with reporting standards. -Complete weekly and monthly reports on achieving performance metrics
Performance Metrics:
To be successful in this role, the Employment Outcomes Specialist will contribute to the following annual targets: - 64% of clients must be moved to an employed outcome of 20+ hours/week. Average of 16 clients per week. - At least 50% of performance-based checkpoints must be completed within 6 weeks of each milestone date. - Contribute to earning an average of $9,894.44 in performance-based funding per month.

Qualifications:
- Degree in Business with a sales focus, Social Work training, Human Services training, or equivalent experience - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-centred approach. - Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management or CRM systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with employment verification processes and funder compliance.
