Job description

Our client is a leading Toronto based pioneer in employment law in Canada. They are currently seeking an employment law associate with experience or interest in the banking and financial services space.

Your new role

In this new role you will be required to handle many files through the litigation process both independently and as a member of an experienced team. Responsibilities include:

  1. Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues.
  2. Prepare and draft legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and pleadings.
  3. Represent clients in proceedings including mediations, examinations, pre-trial, and trials.
  4. Provide legal advice and guidance to clients.
  5. Review and analyze legal documents for accuracy and compliance.
  6. Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals to develop legal strategies.

What you will need to succeed

To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of 4 years’ post-call experience, with demonstrated knowledge and interest in employment law and/or litigation. To excel in this role, you should have:

  1. Strong research and analytical skills.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  3. The ability to negotiate effectively.
