Duties and Responsibilities

- Provide client assistance and support by acting as the first point of contact for clients (job seekers, employers, and the general public) at the Employment Resource Centre in Corner Brook.
- Work with individuals to determine preliminary eligibility and appropriate level of service.
- Provide general information about job search resources, employment programs, and training opportunities.
- Guide clients using self-service resources such as job boards, computers, and application forms.
- Research, update, and document labour market opportunities to ensure up-to-date labour market information is available.
- Implement efficient information management practices, including file and records management, while ensuring compliance with ATIPPA requirements.
- Perform administrative duties such as managing office supplies, answering calls, emails, inquiries, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
Screening Criteria
- Diploma in Office or Business Administration (equivalencies considered).
- Experience in a similar administrative role providing front-line services.
Assessment Criteria
- Knowledge of office procedures, customer service principles, and best practices in front-line settings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Client-focused with a commitment to exceptional service.
- Organizational skills for coordinating services and administrative activities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Effective communication skills and ability to develop working relationships.
Conditions of Offer
- A recent and satisfactory Certificate of Conduct may be required upon request.

- Location: Corner Brook’s Millbrook Mall Office.
