Job description

The work location: Most of the time, work from own office, except for having meetings with clients in Ottawa.
This is a temporary project with an approximate length of 3-4 months.
Hourly rate: $40.00 to $90.00 CAD
Security check is required for the successful candidate.

Responsibilities
  • Research and develop Employment Equity and Duty to Accommodate plans
  • Establish, coordinate, and participate in various Employment Equity and Diversity Committees
  • Develop policies, guidelines, procedures, programs, and tools regarding Employment Equity and Duty to Accommodate
  • Develop, design, implement, and review Employment Equity and Duty to Accommodate promotion/communications strategy plans, positive measures programs for all designated groups
  • Manage, coordinate, and provide advice on Employment Equity, Diversity, and Duty to Accommodate programs
  • Provide training, information sessions, and presentations to management and employees; identify and provide accommodation resources
  • Conduct seminars, workshops, focus groups, etc.
  • Review systems with recommendations
  • Advise HR Systems teams and Information Technology (IT) teams
  • Provide mentoring and coaching assistance regarding the above programs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in human resources management or a related field
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation or relevant professional HR designation
  • At least 10 years of consulting experience
  • Experience in developing Employment Equity and Diversity programs, including tools and activities, and conducting training and information sessions on Employment Equity
  • Experience in developing awareness tools for managers and employees regarding Duty to Accommodate
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills to guide and advise management and staff
  • Strong consultation, facilitation, and relationship-building skills for conducting focus groups and interviews related to Employment Equity
  • Bilingual in English and French (oral, written, reading) required
