Job summary

ABM College in Canada is seeking a highly competent Employment Counsellor to support students and alumni with career planning, job search strategies, and professional development initiatives.

You will facilitate practicum placements, design development programs, build employer partnerships, analyze labour market trends, and maintain alumni employment records, with a focus on inclusion and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience as an Employment Counsellor, preferably in a college setting.
  • Strong marketing and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated success in building employer relationships and securing employment opportunities for clients.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze labor market information to provide insights on job opportunities, skill requirements, and occupational trends.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of alumni employment, supporting their career progression.
  • Perform general recruitment and administrative tasks, contributing to the overall success of the team.

Essential Job Duties:
  • Facilitate practicum placements for students and alumni, ensuring alignment with their career goals and interests.
