Job description

Requirements:

• Experience providing client support in employment services or a related social service field. A degree or diploma in a relevant field (e.g., career or employment development, vocational rehabilitation, social work, psychology, sociology, human services, counselling, education, or human resources management) will be viewed as an asset.
• Valid BC driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• A clean criminal record check for the vulnerable sector.
• Self-motivated, confident, and able to work independently and make decisions.
• Experience in facilitation will be highly regarded.
• Experience working with diverse and highly barriered client groups.
• Excellent conflict management skills and strong ability to work well under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, and electronic.
• Innovative and solution-oriented working style.
• Strong active listening, motivational, and coaching skills.
• Sensitivity to employer and job-seeker confidentiality and ability to adhere to privacy and security regulations and protocols.
• Familiarity with local job market trends, community resources, and government programs; basic job search strategies are an asset, but on-the-job training is provided.
