Work Hours: 35 hours/week (9:00am-5:00pm)

Work Setting: Exclusively Onsite (219 Dufferin Street, #1C, Toronto, ON)

Salary: $30.33/hour

Program Overview – Integrated Employment Services, Community Programs

What You Will Do

  1. Build rapport and provide emotional support to clients to foster trust, engagement, and confidence in their job search.
  2. Ensure clients understand the services and the value of retention support.
  3. Create equity in service delivery, promoting inclusion and equitable outcomes for all jobseekers.
  4. Manage a caseload of clients at various stages of readiness, using effective time management to move clients toward employment efficiently.
  5. Maintain accountability for monthly intake and employment targets.
  6. Participate in training and coaching, using feedback for continuous improvement.
  7. Administer the Ontario Common Assessment Tool and intake clients into the program.
  8. Conduct in-person and group activities to assist clients in achieving employment, following program guidelines and procedures.
  9. Provide excellent customer service, including developing employment plans, needs assessments, resume and cover letter assistance, interview preparation, and online job search support.
  10. Engage with employers to confirm positions, understand job needs, advocate for clients, and facilitate interviews.
  11. Support clients in using onsite computers for job search activities, digital literacy, and accessing resources.
  12. Complete all documentation and data entry accurately and promptly.
  13. Collaborate with team members to manage cases and achieve positive outcomes.
  14. Develop and facilitate group workshops and activities, both in person and online.
  15. Support site operations by providing front desk customer service, outreach, and other duties as needed.

What You Bring to the Team

  • Degree or diploma in Social Work, Social Services, or related field.
  • Experience or training in career counseling, needs assessment, job search, and retention.
  • Experience leading group workshops or activities.
  • Knowledge of labor market trends, especially for vulnerable populations.
  • Understanding of pre-employment support methods and re-training opportunities.
