Job description

Location: Old Perlican and Cape Broyle, Newfoundland and Labrador

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate and maintain the company refrigeration, steam, and ice systems in accordance with the Boiler & Pressure Vessel Act and Regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and repair in a safe, orderly, and timely manner.
  • Operate and maintain Freon, Ammonia, and Steam systems.
  • Complete readings, recordings, and daily logs and necessary forms as required to operate a boiler room.
  • Assist maintenance team in plant electrical and maintenance when required.
  • Be familiar with regulations of the Department of Labour and Boiler Inspection Branch.
  • Other duties as required.
Requirements
  • Possess a minimum 3rd Class or 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate, Refrigeration A, or Refrigeration B Certification or equivalent.
  • Be knowledgeable working with Freon, Ammonia, and Boiler systems.
  • Be competent working with technical equipment and able to complete tasks independently.
  • English language proficiency is required.

3rd Class Steam time is available.

Salary negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.
