Job Title : Employee and Labor Relations Manager, Canada & US

NCR Voyix is seeking a dedicated and experienced Employee and Labor Relations Manager to join our team in Canada, which will also support the US. The Employee and Labor Relations Specialist is responsible for managing and enhancing employee relations and labor relations strategies that drive business results. They serve as a liaison between the HR department and the business side of the company, providing guidance on labor policies, performance management, employee relations, and organizational change initiatives. This role involves coaching managers on effective leadership practices and ensuring compliance with labor regulations.

Position Summary :

  • Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and implement employee and labor relations strategies that support business objectives.
  • Provide strategic advice on labor matters to senior leaders and managers.
  • Facilitate performance management processes and support organizational change initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor and measure existing labor relations procedures and policies.
  • Coach managers on effective leadership practices.
  • Lead and manage employee relations programs, ensuring alignment with company policies and Canadian labor regulations.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints and grievances, providing fair and timely resolutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee relations cases and prepare reports for senior management.
  • Act as a change agent in the organization, sponsoring change initiatives in support of organizational evolution.
  • Experience working in a union environment.
  • Handle escalated issues within HR Shared Services that cannot be resolved by HR Representatives, providing overall HR support to employees and managers. This includes all matters under the support of HR that are not resolved in Tier I.

Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in employee and labor relations or a similar HR role.
  • In-depth knowledge of Canadian labor laws and regulations.
  • Experience supporting unionized employees in Canada.
  • Experience supporting a US business unit from Canada.
  • Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HR software and data analysis tools.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bilingual : English and French
