Providence Health Care is seeking an Employed Student Respiratory Therapist in Vancouver to provide direct respiratory therapy care to patients under supervision. Candidates should have completed Level 1 clinical placement from an accredited program and possess effective communication skills.
The role includes assessing patient health status, collaboration in patient care plans, and adherence to safety standards. The position offers a competitive salary of CAD $30.40 - $37.96 per hour.
The salary range for this position is CAD $30.40/Hr. - CAD $37.96/Hr. The hours of work, including start and stop times, days off, work area and work site may be subject to change consistent with operations requirements and applicable provisions of the Collective Agreement and statutes. Testing may be required. A criminal record check may be required.
Under the direction and/or support of the Respiratory Therapy Professional Practice Leader, Site Leader, Research, Education & Practice Coordinator, or supervising Respiratory Therapist, the Employed Student Respiratory Therapist will provide direct respiratory therapy care to patients commensurate with their level of education and training and will operate in accordance with the program philosophy, principles, and policies (Indigenous Cultural Safety, cultural humility and anti-racism principles, competency guidelines, and Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) Standards for Respiratory practices).
