Position Summary

Title: Employed Student Nurse, Community Health

Salary: $61,268 per year

Contract: Term

Hours: Casual/Flexible

Location: Lillooet/Lytton

Bargaining unit: Professional Institute of Public Service of Canada (PIPSC)

About The Role

As the Employed Student Nurse, you will collaborate with staff and agencies to advocate for all CHN programming. You will provide direct nursing care to clients with varying health challenges and acuity, assess, record, and report on clients' health status under the supervision of the Community Health Nurse.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have or be:

  • Successful completion of 2nd Year RPN or BScN program and continued enrollment in a recognized nursing program.
  • Current registration with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as an Employed Student Registrant.
  • Current CPR-C certification (including infant resuscitation).
  • Immunization certification or willingness to complete within three months of hire.
  • Valid BC driver’s license.

You may also have:

  • Experience working with First Nations clients, families, or communities.
  • Completion of community health practice education experience.
