Job summary

Vancouver Island Health Authority is offering an Employed Student Nurse/Employed Student Psychiatric Nurse program. Students in years 2 or 3 of BSc Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing, with CPR-C certification, are eligible to apply and will gain practical clinical experience under supervision.

Positions are casual with multiple openings across Island Health sites. You will work under multidisciplinary teams and regulatory supervision from RNs, NPs, or RPNs, while earning an hourly wage.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Year 2 of the BC nursing program or equivalent and continued enrolment in a recognized nursing education program.
• CPR-C certification.
• Eligible for Employed Student Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.

Responsibilities

• Earn an hourly wage while gaining practical skills within a healthcare setting under supervision.
• Opportunities across multiple settings on Vancouver Island Health sites (acute care, mental health, etc.).

Education

Year 2 of the Collaboration for Academic Education in Nursing Program in BC or equivalent nursing program
