Hours/Shifts

Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts between 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (Five days per week in-office, based on operational needs)

Integrated Employment Services (IES) Program

The IES program provides tailored support for individuals facing barriers to employment, helping them achieve meaningful, long-term outcomes. By addressing the unique challenges of each client, we create pathways to sustainable employment that transform lives and strengthen communities.

Requirements

WAYS YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE

Client Assessment and Employment Planning

  • Conduct direct community outreach to connect clients with critical services and support.
  • Develop personalized resource plans addressing barriers such as housing, childcare, mental health, financial needs, etc.
  • Act as a resource navigator, providing immediate solutions or referrals for complex systems like social services or healthcare.
  • Provide hands-on support to clients during events, guiding them to necessary services in real-time.
  • Meet client engagement targets by actively enrolling participants into IES.


Workshops, Events, and Outreach

  • Host workshops that connect clients to resources, and address barriers.
  • Plan and represent Springboard at community events, job fairs, and resource sessions.
  • Coordinate impactful initiatives, such as clothing drives or mental health awareness sessions.
  • Invite guest speakers to deliver workshops tailored to client, and stakeholder needs.
  • Develop and deliver presentations at schools to engage youth transitioning into employment, focusing on those with disabilities or high needs.
  • Establish referral pipelines by building partnerships with other organizations.
  • Tailor community outreach initiatives and workshops to address community-specific challenges, ensuring inclusivity and engagement.


Resource Room Management

  • Maintain and update a resource library with accurate information on mental health supports, housing resources, transportation, community programs, job opportunities, etc.
  • Ensure the resource room is welcoming, organized, and equipped with accessible technology for client use.
  • Update resource room computers with relevant links to support clients' employment journey.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local labour market trends and emerging opportunities to better inform clients and partner organizations.


Collaboration and Partnerships

  • Build relationships with community partners to streamline referrals and support pipelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align employment and wraparound services, fostering a unified client support approach.
  • Work with Employer Engagement Specialists to align outreach efforts with employer hiring initiatives and program goals.


Planning and Reporting

  • Develop monthly engagement plans, incorporating workshops, outreach, and initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate case notes documenting client interactions, assessments, and follow-ups.
  • Track and analyze engagement metrics to refine strategies and demonstrate impact.


Social Media and Marketing

  • Collaborate with the Communications team to create a social media calendar for employment department.
  • Design engaging content and marketing materials to connect clients, and other stakeholders to services.
  • Plan and execute storytelling campaigns or public education initiatives that highlight client, and employer success stories and promote inclusive hiring practices.


Labour Market and Information Sharing

  • Develop strategies to align outreach efforts with labour market trends, ensuring client connections reflect high-demand industries.
  • Deliver monthly updates to staff, sharing insights on new resources and client support programs.


Administrative and Operational Duties

  • Organize all activities, events, and workshops into a calendar for seamless team coordination.
  • Set up daily signage to ensure a welcoming environment and clear visibility of available services.
  • Ensure walk-ins are accurately tracked to maintain healthy and safety compliance


Workplace Expectations, Professionalism, and Compliance

  • Participate in training focused on community advocacy, cultural competence, and networking skills, etc. to strengthen engagement strategies.
  • Maintain professionalism and always adhere to workplace policies, ensuring focus and productivity in all environments.
  • Adhere to the organization's business casual dress code during work hours, whether onsite, online, or when working offsite.
  • Maintain an on-camera presence during virtual meetings.
  • Be available to work five in-office days per week. In-person attendance is a mandatory requirement of the role and cannot be accommodated for remote work on these days.
  • Travel within the GTA to attend employer site visits, trainings, networking events, community outreach activities, etc.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when needed to support program goals or employer and community partner relationships.
  • Perform additional tasks as required to support organizational needs, and program delivery.


Who You Are

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Post-secondary diploma/degree in Social Work, Community Development, Human Services, or a related field.


Experience:

  • Proven experience in community outreach, resource coordination, and client advocacy.


Skills

  • Knowledge of local social support systems and wraparound services.
  • Strong digital skills, including proficiency in Canva, Adobe Suite, CRM systems, and the MS Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation for travel within the GTA


Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Mental Health First Aid, Trauma-Informed Care, or Nonviolent Crisis Intervention.
  • Multilingual abilities (e.g., French, Spanish, Mandarin, Arabic).
  • Familiarity with diversity, equity, and inclusion principles in community engagement.
  • First Aid/CPR certification. .


What Success Looks Like In This Role

  • Consistently achieve or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs), including client engagement targets, client enrollment, workshop participation, and referral success rates.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with community partners, ensuring seamless referral pipelines and access to external supports.
  • Organize and deliver impactful workshops and community events that address client needs and remove barriers.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions, outreach activities, and program outcomes to support compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Effectively manage the resource room to ensure it remains a welcoming, organized, and resource-rich environment for clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Create engaging social media content and marketing materials to increase program visibility and client, and employer engagement.
  • Foster trusting relationships with clients, empowering them to access necessary services and support.
