Job summary

Queen’s University invites applications from outstanding early career researchers for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position. The successful candidate must start their position at Queen’s University, on a full-time basis, by July 2, 2027.

We seek a scholar with a record of research excellence and knowledge mobilization in Environment, Climate Resilience, and the Arctic, with a priority on critical minerals.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent in Geology, Earth Sciences, Physical Geography, Geological Engineering, Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop an independent research program and demonstrate the potential for leadership in an international research context.
• Establish and sustain an innovative, collaborative research program with external funding.
• Engage in knowledge mobilization and partnerships with industry, government, and communities.
• Contribute to teaching, mentorship, and training of graduate students and postdoctoral researchers.
• Demonstrate commitment to Indigenization, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility (I-EDIAA).
