Job summary

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is seeking a Nurse A - Registered Nurse General Duty Nurse for the Emergency Department at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. The RN will perform the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care in the emergency department, under the direction of the Nursing Manager.

This is a full-time permanent role with shifting options including days, nights and weekends, and extended 11.78-hour shifts across a 4-week rotation.

Qualifications

• RN must hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or equivalent.
• Nursing diploma is acceptable as part of the education mix.
• BLS certification is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Manager of Nursing, the RN is responsible for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care in the emergency department.
• Provide safe, patient‑centered care and collaborate with the ED team to manage patient flow.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
