Job summary

An established industry player is seeking an experienced Emergency Roadside Service Technician to join their team in Charlottetown. This role is vital for delivering prompt assistance to members facing vehicle breakdowns and emergencies. You'll enjoy a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same, tackling a variety of challenges while providing exceptional customer service. With a shift rotation of 4 days on and 4 days off, you'll have ample time to recharge. If you have a passion for helping others and possess a strong mechanical aptitude, this opportunity is perfect for you!

Qualifications

  • Experience driving larger vehicles including tow trucks and buses.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude preferred but not essential.

Job description

CAA Atlantic is currently seeking an experienced Emergency Roadside Service Technician for our Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island (PE) location. As an Emergency Roadside Assistance Technician, you will be responsible for delivering prompt and effective roadside support our CAA members who are experiencing vehicle breakdowns, accidents, or other emergencies. This role involves identifying vehicle issues, performing on-sceene services, and towing. This role presents the opportunity to support and work with our members on a daily basis. In 2024, CAA Atlantic serviced over 154,000 Emergency Roadside Service calls! This position is commencing immediately.

This position follows a shift rotation schedule: 4 days on followed by 4 days off, 12 hour shifts.

  • Ability to work unsupervised and in difficult conditions
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Relevant work experience in Customer Service and / or Automotive related experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude preferred but not essential
  • Class 5 Licence with Air Brake Endorsements, preferred but not required
  • Bilingualism considered an asset
